Statement to the public opinion:

What is happening in Tal Abyad, from the besiegement of our brigade (Shiroko Ayyubi) to the kidnapping of Kurdish civilians is part of a tactic to break our will and punish us for refusing to announce our support of ISIS.

After our brigade’s leadership refused to pledge allegiance to ISIS, units came and assaulted our forces and kidnapped civilians. We have worked since the first moment clashes broke out on a solution as such a crisis serves no one but the regime.

Also we condemn the stance of some brigades in support of the ISIS and their working with them to arrest civilians.

The Kurdish will is stronger than the will of all of those trying to subordinate the Kurds and all attempts at ethnic cleansing in the area.

Tens, if not hundreds, of Kurdish civilians were arrested and this is the biggest proof we have of the ISIS’ racism and hostility to all Kurds.

We would like to remind them that we and the Kurdish people received them because we saw that they would stand with the revolution but we did not expect them to do this.

We promise ISIS that our will won’t be broken and we will continue to seek freedom until our last breath and that the clashes will not stop until all innocent prisoners are released. Their release is underway in a swap with an arrested ISIS leader.

Long live the brotherhood of the peoples of Syria…. Long live free Syria

The Free Syrian Army – The Kurdish Front
